There are many "answers" and responses on this platform that I felt were pertinent after experiencing much of the same "symptoms" and experiences that are discussed on this forum page and the experiences outlined in some of these readings that found me.
The Twin Flame Journey is naturally elusive. It is a deep internal calling from the heart center that is awakened upon meeting your counterpart. It often feels at first that there is no rhyme or reason to the feelings that surge through your body and initiate your thoughts like lightning.
You will find yourself obsessing and unable to get your counterpart off of your mind, no matter what measures you take. I have heard, that the only thing that can sever a "Divine Counterpart Connection, is Divine Judgement. If you or your counterpart does not heed the calling after so long and so many chances, then Divine Intervention may move you both on from one another. This however, is only on the "Divine's Timing" when karma comes up for Judgement in the higher realms.
Lastly, a period of long separation and insurmountable odds marks the Counterpart Journey. Both souls may meet to initiate the "flame activation" within the other, but what follows is a period of separation shortly after, as the point of the journey is to ascend and heal through our shadows, trauma's, and the mental "programming" holding us back and keeping the "status quo".
Most often, we can not make this ascension at the side of our counterpart, rather, we make it BECAUSE of the separation.
When enough growth has occurred, the Two have a chance for union in the 3D world.
Several "Dark Night's of the Soul" mark both Counterparts' journeys.
You will often experience signs, synchronicities, invading thoughts and feelings that WILL NOT let you forget your Counterpart...even when several years of "NO CONTACT" has taken place.
"No Contact" is the time in between your Counterparts journey and your own, where you guys are in separation and usually have zero contact with each other.
Nonetheless, it is the deep calling and nagging of the heart, that will not let you let them go...no matter how much time, distance, separation, and no contact that has taken place.

The Twin Flame Journey is truly a magical experience. It breaks open wide our inner shadows as we reflect our Counterparts shadows as well. This is why healing must occur for union, otherwise the connection will not last.
The Twin Flame Journey calls us into our highest ascension most typically, and this is why it often takes years upon years for counterparts to make their way back to each other. Healing and shadow work are often put off, until "burning tower moments" force us into the work. Then the calling of the longing souls begin to beckon one another as the healing is in play. Often, Counterparts can experience telepathic connection, but because we are not equipped to believe in such things, it can be hard to believe the inner callings of the heart, and the deep etheric strings keeping your minds connected. You will doubt your nudges and intuition, but the universe will just get louder and bolder, so as to force your belief. The coincidences become too auspicious. Many Twin Flames experience sleepless nights during this period, intrusive and obsessive thoughts about your counterpart, and sometimes even a whole host of physical symptoms, as both heal and process in the "5D", but also in the "3D", as if making way or a path for this physical union to come into being. It is even possible you feel each others physical issues through this process without even being aware it is their symptoms and not your own.
